[Said Vaporeon is currently paddling in the large pond behind the Gym in Violet City. Saionji is sitting at the edge and pouting. Her Petilil is hopping up and down the road bobbing sweets and biscuits on its head from... god knows where to Saionji, but always ends up having to go back to town for more because it gets splashed in the face and dragged into the water by the Vaporeon frequently. Saionji doesn't seem to care much.

And Team Rocket are a bunch of morons, but they're also a organized crime syndicate... so they might have the means and money to study evolution, since they bought all those stones.

Probably...there's a payoff that we haven't been able to see yet. At least, that would be my guess...

As to a super-mega evolution...I think most evolutions are just natural. Trying to force it would be...bad.

...So it's possible Team Rocket is trying that...

They'll probably just fail and get caught, because game mechanics don't work that way, right, Big Sis? [At least, probably.] If Pokémon could crossbreed and have multiple evolutions for all, it would be a mess!

That's how it usually works. I mean...game mechanics, they're against Team Rocket from the start. The bad guys always lose...that's how it goes.
