❀ 2nd Konpeito ❀ [Video]
[When the video switches on, she's holding a book- on Pokémon, and sitting in the corner of the Dangan House. There's a paper in her hands, and if you squint, you can make out frantic scrawling in Japanese all over the other side of it, written with a heavy hand- there's imprints on the paper.
Her Mawile is sleeping on the beanbag next to her, and a Petilil carries more books to her obediently. When Saionji takes them, said Petilil goes to bother Ayani instead.] You know... I've been thinking, and... it's so stupidly pitiful.
[A pause. She doesn't elaborate.] ...And what's a legendary Pokémon?

Legendary Pokemon are powerful and extremely rare Pokemon. There's usually a myths and legends about them, kind of like this world's dragons and phoenixes.

[Myths and legends in a world built on myths and legends have got to be the top percentage of myths and legends.] Where can they be found?
no subject
[Hm, where?] No idea, since I haven't seen any for myself. From what I know, Lugia's legend is native to Johto and is probably in the Johto ocean somewhere.
no subject
Just makes the circumstances even more pitiful. [A pause, and an irritated pout.] You agree with me, right?
no subject
...Depends on the circumstances. The "stuck in this place" one, right?
no subject
Well... yeah, but not the main point! This place is sooooo obviously based off Japan, and yet they're compromising to all the non-Japanese that pop up in here! Youkai and spirits of all kind in Japanese legend become real Pokémon here, even the Legendary Pokémon Ho-oh, ruler of all birds!
You agree with me, right? It's tailored for Japan, and yet they're sucking up to other nationalities and foreigners, just like in my world! It's stupid! [Saionji seems to be making the assumption that Atsuro is Japanese, which is correct- or she just doesn't care who she lashes at with those words.]
no subject
So you're complaining that Johto is westernising and being influenced by foreign regions... Do you care about this place maintaining its original spirit or something?
[One point at a time. He may address the youkai part. But for Atsuro, it's just going from one world of monsters to another world of (less likely to eat people) monsters.]
no subject
So why are they still the same in that aspect?! It's too stupid!
[In her world, the only monsters are themselves- and there's no Personas involved. She'd probably not last a day for the mere reason she won't know how to work a COMP.]
no subject
[Oh boy, talking about Pokemon world's history speculation! Which is funny, since Atsuro's bad at Japanese history.
Most likely. Even if she somehow turns on the COMP, Hiyoko would have to establish a contract with the demon or die trying.]
no subject
[What demon would she even summon? Pixie sounds like a fitting choice, but Moh Shuvuu does too. Punching out a Moh Shuvuu compared to a Pixie doesn't sound too good.] This place is a mix between a great culture, beautiful fantasy, and a pig sty of greasy fools.
no subject
[A Moh Shuvuu sounds like a pretty good choice. And maybe a bad idea if Hiyoko have access to Flight.]
I wouldn't say a "pigsty of of greasy fools", but this place is great.

NAKO! GET ME BOOKS ON HISTORY!
[Aaaaand back to the screen. Does the Petilil even know what History means? Welp.] But there aaaare a ton of freaky creeps! People come from all the different worlds you can think of- I won't be surprised if some of them were serial killers, or molesters, or cannibals!
You look like such a boooring stock character, too... if they picked you off, no one would notice anything wrong! [That came out unprecedented.]
1/2
I wouldn't be surprised, actually! You'd get normal people, and then there's people from worlds with real magic, swords and knights!
[Atsuro, your world have magic--Wait a minute.]

[B|!!]

[She's Vile Saionji, possessing the terror of a malicious deity. They would get along.] But your whole attitude is just screaming first death! You'd die in some stupid or slightly heroic way, and the real center of the story would probably use your death as either a half-hearted plot device or brush it off entirely after a period of time!
[Not exactly true, but DeSu does have a surprising lack of the death of your friends, so she tried. If only it was SMTIV.] You'll only be in the story for mandatory emotional pain! After that, everyone will just forget you!
no subject
[Good thing Atsuro's one of those plot protected characters. His usefulness as a pawn adds to his survival.]
Even if I do die, my friends will remember me!
[Atsuro wouldn't know he's protected by plot, so for all he knows he might die while working on Babel's system.
no subject
Yeah, yeah, doing all that in the first 10% of the story, maybe. Probably die off right before the Big Bad rears his ugly head, and there's gonna be a whooole sob story over your stinking corpse!
And do you really believe that? They'll remember you, maybe, but brush you off and stop talking about your entire existence until out-of-place emotional arcs! Your 'don't give up' vibes just confirm my suspicions even more. You're nothing more than cannon fodder!
no subject
He's trying not to really yell at her, because dammit, she doesn't need to hear about the lockdown or the whole 10BIT thing.]
Of course I believe that! We went through too much crap for them to just brush me off! Even if I have that "don't give up" vibe, that doesn't mean I'm the first on the chopping block! For all we know, the story would play around with your expectations by changing around who dies and who lives!
no subject
Ahah, the whole 'faith in your friends' too! You're such a blatant choice for a painful death, it's bound to happen sooner or later!
Oh, please. Humans are weak and predictable- before you know it, you'll be taking the bullet for your supposed 'friends', willingly or otherwise! [She says this with such a grin on her face.] Better watch your back!
no subject
So what if I take a bullet for them? Wouldn't you do the same if it's your best friend as well?
1/3
2/3
She doesn't exactly like the term 'best friend', but referring to the only person who could ever dream of taking that role... if things could've gone differently? Saionji was the victim of framing, and she didn't do a very good job of putting up an argument, as much as she doesn't want to admit it to herself.
Could it have been possible to...
...? Change... it? If she had been the one to take the beating instead. Obviously it was stupid, because of the whole motive, her sacrifice would be in vain. But the idea of switching places... did she...
Did she really want to...?]
no subject
WAAAAAAAH! You idiot, you gave me bad memories! WAAAAAAAAAH!

All that worked up energy and emotions almost seem to melts, as he now try to do damage control. He didn't know she have bad memories that his words may bring up. It's always a risk with talking to people. Or arguing with them.]
Wait, what--I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!
