Her Mawile is sleeping on the beanbag next to her, and a Petilil carries more books to her obediently. When Saionji takes them, said Petilil goes to bother Ayani instead.] You know... I've been thinking, and... it's so stupidly pitiful.

[A pause. She doesn't elaborate.] ...And what's a legendary Pokémon?

The circumstances!

[Here we go again.] Pokémon here, the culture, even the geography is all based off Japan! And yet, even though it's strong and full of life, they decide to give into Western traditions and foreigners' wills still! It's not like good ideas are bad, but most of them just stink up the place!

If it's tailored for Japan, than why is it so sympathetic to people who can't and won't accept it?

[A pause.] I'm definitely gonna catch one, one day! Ho-oh sounds good!

Y'know, I hadn't thought about it like that. It is really similar to Japan, isn't it? But yeah, there are a lot of customs and shit here that are more western... huh.

Ho-Oh sounds pretty fucking cool, yeah! I've done some reading on the legends in Ecruteak; the place's pretty cool too!

I've heard there are some people here who weren't even human in their world! I dunno how true that is, but there's definitely some kind of magic or something at work here.

I think it's the Tin Tower? I'm not sure. I mean, it looks like you can get pretty high up there, whereas the Burned Tower is... well, burned.

Yeah, I think there are some normal Pokémon in the Burned Tower. I'm not sure about the Tin Tower, I didn't really explore it while I was there.
