Personality: Almost to suit Saionji’s own cynical and blunt personality, Ayani is sweet, adorable, and what Saionji describes “Everything I should be”. However, she’s also really… dumb. Alright, playing it straight, Saionji is 100% sure there is no way someone can be so agreeable to abuse and usage without having something wrong with them or liking it for some godforsaken reason. In any case, Ayani acts like a child, but dancing around with the gentle control that comes with Buyo dancing under her trainer's orders. Unless food is involved. Hell yeah.

Her name means ‘two kimono designs’, meant to symbolize Ayani’s second head and her grace (read: stupidity) in relation to Saionji’s talent as well. Saionji been drilling her non-stop in order to get stronger; she's quick to please her trainer, but she's also gone a bit... loony from stress. Ayani's prone to sudden laughter and complete amusement in things she's done before, as though it's a completely new thing, and seems to be forgetting said things at a rapid rate. Saionji is more than irritated by this, and her battle performance is falling a bit. She also snaps at people and Pokémon alike with both mouths in friendliness, taking their crying and pain as good signs.

Saionji is not a good influence.

Battle Techniques: She just barrels head on, attacking relentlessly and not giving up till KO. Unfortunately, she’s not very good at following orders. At all. “Dodge to the left!” Haha no, I’m gonna give them a Bite to the FACE and face a full-on Close Combat because of that.

Personality: Um… okay, uh… wow…

Nako is a child, so Saionji isn’t going to expect much, but it seems Pokémon that hatch from eggs tend to take after their trainer very much. Nako doesn’t like listening to anyone but Saionji, and only because she thinks Saionji is her mom. Saionji ends up abusing her, just like Ayani, which Nako ends up doing to basically everyone else she meets. A+ Pokémon trainer right here. She's spoiled by Saionji's attention, though, and loves it.

She has snarky retorts galore in Pokémon tongue and the ability to use her cute face as a weapon- things Saionji taught her. She’s loyal to Saionji alone, and may or may not be subconsciously planning WORLD DOMINATION (or rather domination of the Japanese dancing scene) with her. She tends to spend more time dancing than training- Saionji takes this as an opportunity. BUYO DANCING POKÉMON? FUCK YEAH.

...Unfortunately, she's also ran away from home to join the circus. She loves her mom, but then again, she only loves her mom because of the attention she gives her.

Battle Techniques: Nako likes to think she can take hits, and takes tons of risks while battling, but isn’t stupid (like Ayani). She’s too proud to give up even when she’s obviously losing, but if so, she’ll try to avoid getting knocked out as much as possible. She tends to use buffs before attacking.

Personality: Saionji gets on veeeery well with this one. Naoryuu is a nasty little shit, just like Saionji, but as with most baby animals (and Pokémon) they look up to their mothers or trainers. And with Saionji as a role model no one can grow up very well-adjusted can they? Because Naoryuu was a gift from Oowada, Saionji treats him much better then the others (no blatant favoritism here). These leads him to be haughty and basically prone to launching into fights with others to prove his own dominance.

He also loves anything silky, and being trained by Saionji to recognize Japanese artifacts and know what not to wreck. He likes Farron though, until she starts telling him off, but a few electric shocks out of Saionji's line of sight tends to do the trick. After being forcibly evolved by Team Rocket, he has a deep fear of well-dressed adults in black suits and stupid hats. He's also... more modest than before, at least, he's trying to improve. Really!

Battle Techniques: Have you seen someone trying to stab a bitch while also not daring to, and looking like a fucking fencer except they’re being absolutely ridiculous? That’s basically Naoryuu. As daring as he is, he also hates being hurt and likes to take small jabs, flee, attack, flee, and all that. He has tons of energy and runs back and forth evasively, at the cost of 1. time 2. actual attacking power and 3. depleting his reserves quickly.

After mysteriously arriving in Saionji's PC box due to Hope leaving and his Pokémon serendipitously scattering across the system, Farron ended up with her (God help this Mareep's soul). However, Saionji doesn't think she'll have much problem with her- Farron is a well-behaved and even-tempered Mareep who has a strong big sister instinct to her trainer and the other Pokémon.

Ayani likes her a lot. Nako likes to pick on her. Saionji has no problem with Farron being here, on second thought, and it's good to have a stronger Pokémon around. In order to not piss off any wandering spirits ("saionji no it means they just go home" "BUT WHAT IF THEY DIED"), she treats Farron with... more respect than the rest, anyway. Plus she's cute, so. She's quiet too, and Saionji will surely convert her into a ~~good slave~~ strong fighter.

Farron's begun to treat all the other Pokémon Saionji have like her family, and looking over these bunch of bratty, non compos mentis kids with a distraught need to try to fix things. She spends the majority of the time with the hatchlings, trying to either comfort them or edge them away from bullying, but also takes out time to... uh... socialize with Ayani.

Battle Techniques: ...Honestly? She doesn't trust her new trainer to be very good. She'll follow orders, but dodging when she should be attack and generally calling her own shots is nothing new.

Personality: Yuki was hatched with no idea that if she wasn’t female, Saionji would have minimal hesitation in lending Ayani a hammer and telling her starter to help herself.

Yuki, like most of Saionji’s Pokémon (much to both her chagrin and convenience) were hatched from eggs straight from her hand. Yuki herself was and still is an experiment- Saionji wants to own the power of a Yuki-onna (the POWER! Oh, the spiritual and technically-not-so-much-in-this-world-but-still power!), and Yuki is an attempt at that. Bear in mind, Yuki’s kanji name doesn’t have anything to do with snow. Saionji wants to know more about this place- if Pokémon bore real resemblance and memories of lore in her world back home, and what better way than to own one? Froslass could dance well too, apparently…

But still, because of the skin-deep affection and interest Saionji feeds her, Yuki’s the most agreeable amongst all her Pokémon (even Ayani- her starter has grown a tiny bit… cuckoo after all the abuse from Saionji). She can’t be more of the party’s protagonist if she tried, being innocent towards their bullying, but still spending enough time with Farron to form what she herself thinks is right and wong. She’s surrounded by a lot of what she thinks is Wrong, but her trainer seems to always be Right!

…Um… right? Yuki’s a bit scared of herself, and all the stories Saionji tells her about Yuki-onna, and all she has to live up to. But she’ll do it, still…!

Battle Techniques: She does whatever her trainer tells her to do without hesitation, even if she may think it’s stupid. Yuki doesn’t function well on her own, however, and is almost entirely dependent on her trainer’s/Farron’s expectations and cooing; there is nothing but uncertainty under that blind obedience. If the command comes too late, Yuki will certainly be too late as well.

Personality: A rare and mysterious Bloober. Thinks he's a real smart guy. What do you call dangerous precipitation? A rain of terror. A Deino walks into a bar. And a table. And a chair. You wanna hear a pizza joke? Never mind, it's pretty cheesy.

This Bloober is exceptionally badly behaved... and Saionji hates him. She knew she didn’t fucking capture them for a reason dear lord this is not a good state of affairs. Saionji began calling him ‘disgusting’ over and over and… he just… began to respond to that nickname. As… troublesome as he is, the other Pokémon think him extremely interesting, and find his tales of living in the wild and terrible, terrible jokes the funniest things in the world. Really, when you grow up raised from an egg under Saionji Hiyoko, even a random guy like this shit can be your salvation. In any case, Iyarashii (Iya for short) is a groaning, tiresome nightmare for any trainer and well-adjusted Pokémon. Thankfully or not-so-much, Saionji’s Pokémon aren’t well-adjusted.

…Well, Farron is trying to get used to him.

Battle Techniques: Getting punched in the face, multiple times, before responding because as fine-tuned as their senses are, the natural sliminess of Bloobers mean it is a slow-reacting piece of shit. He’s probably going to get really good at taking hits, because Saionji seems to like stepping on his face. Iya is pretty chill with his… teammates, who are admittedly even weirder than him, and would take blows for them if he could slime fast enough.

Well, she’s gonna be Saionji’s flier. She also seems to be particularly brave. And did you know birds sometimes really like to eat insects and all that? Well, the amount of Paras twice her size she's tried to consume is a bit worrying. Tsubame also apparently eats anything that looks like it has meat, who gives a fuck if there's mushrooms all over it DIG IN. She's still young, though, so Ayani gladly does the hunting for her.

Tsubame is steadily learning how to fly and fight, though it's different from the Pokémon fighting Saionji wants- no, do not peck out the eyes, your trainer will get arrested for that. Only wild Pokémon, dear. She's also terribly stubborn already, fixating on one thing for ages. Coupled with infancy, WHAT'S THIS SHINY THING? I'M GONNA FUCKING EAT IT. It's gonna be a horror to keep her under control once she gets stronger.

Battle Techniques: WILL NOSEDIVE RIGHT IN, DAMN THE CONSEQUENCES. Ayani is not a good mentor.

Mineko kinda gets made fun of Saionji. A lot. Mostly for being male. (Wow, wait till she meets Chihiro.) As a result, he’s… a lot more shy than her other Pokémon. Even Yuki falls prey to a bit of tongue-lashing and screaming nowadays. A present from Bertholdt, the gentle giant may have just rubbed off on him, somehow. He’s scared of… basically everything, because of how Saionji locks him indoors and only uses him for petting material (and tosses him around by the tail + whacking against the wall as stress relief but yeah).

He tries to be funny and nice, but… welp…
